My Story

In 1970 I entered Law School and five years later I commenced to practice.  For the next 25 years I often asked myself why.  Whilst I think I was a reasonably good practitioner I found no real joy in legal practice.  It did not give me the meaning and purpose I now realize I needed.  The more I continued to practice law the greater became the distance between who I really was and who I had become.  In essence I became somewhat disconnected from self and this manifested itself in feeling depressed, lack of focus, low energy, migraines, headaches and physical pain.  This was impacting all areas of my life. A chance meeting in 1998 with a kinesiology student led to sessions with a qualified kinesiology practitioner. The end result was the commencement of kinesiology study in 2000, a decision to end my legal career, and over time a big improvement in my health and general well-being.

Qualifications

I now hold a Diploma of Holistic Kinesiology (2002) and a Diploma of Sports Kinesiology (2007).  Kinesiology literally changed my life and I am a firm believer, based on my own experience and my observations of clients, that kinesiology practiced well can bring about significant benefits to our health and wellbeing. In May 2006 I obtained a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and commenced lecturing kinesiology subjects and assessing students at the Australian College of Complementary Medicine in Melbourne. The College does not exist now and I am not teaching at present.  I have an interest in nutrition and digestive disorders and have given lectures in nutrition and its application in kinesiology.

Clinical Research

In 2007 I started to take a closer look at the method of practicing kinesiology that I was taught at Kinesiology College.  I went back to the basics; the research done by chiropractors in America in the 1960’s and 1970’s which formed the foundation of my studies. That research was primarily about the relationship between muscles and the meridian system.  My research has revealed that it is vital to understand the relationships between meridians (through muscle testing) because this reveals not only the location of the dis-ease within you but gives real clues to the reasons for the dis-ease; whether they be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual in nature or a combination of some or all of them. It is also vital for a practitioner to have an integrated way of practicing bringing together all aspects of the energy system. I have developed such an approach over the past 15 years through clinical research. Sometime ago I wrote a course for other practitioners to learn more about what I had found in my research.  Here is a link to a short video clip where I talk about my research and my approach to kinesiology.
